I love trying new luxury beauty and skincare products and I usually try to get my hands on a sample or a mini size first. That way, I can test the product to make sure it works with my skin, before shelling out money for the full size.
Let’s start with Sunday Riley. I’ve wanted to try this brand for the longest time after hearing such great things about their products. However, they are not cheap. This full size Blue Moon Clean Rinse Cleansing Balm will set you back around £40. It’s a lot of money – but it’s the best make-up remover I’ve ever used and makes my skin feel so hydrated and healthy.
I managed to get my hands on this through Glossybox. Last year they did a limited edition box with Sunday Riley for just £30! It included 5 products, 4 mini sizes and this full-size balm. Finally I had the chance to try these products and I’m so glad I did. Only problem now is I’m addicted…
Again, this product from Ren Skincare is another one I bought as part of a set. It came in the Ren Instant Beauty Booster kit. I don’t think the kit is available anymore but this Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask is insane. Nothing else makes my skin feel like this does. It removes dead skin cells to help renew your complexion. I haven’t got much of it left so I’ll most definitely be re-purchasing this one!
Pixi is another fantastic skincare brand. I remember hearing about the Glow Tonic from their range – probably their most known product. I’d wanted to try something else from their range and came across this cute mini version of the Glow Mud Mask. It claims to be a 15 minute facial and it really feels like that. It leaves my skin feeling glowy and smooth.
I found this Calming Mist by Temple Spa in a luxurious hotel I stayed in. The smell of this instantly puts me at ease and makes me feel like I’m relaxing in a spa. It’s filled with essential oils that you can use to spray on the body or around the room. A warm ‘hug’ for the skin, body and soul.
The CARITA Fluide de Beaute 14 Paillete – a friend of mine received this at an event and gave it to me. It looked so pretty and shimmery I thought I’d give it a go. It’s a nourishing oil for the face, body and hair. I’ve only used it on my body so far – I added it to my legs and arms (after a bit of fake tanning for a night out) and I felt so glowy! Definitely a great product for summer.
Last but not least is this White Flowers Eye & Lip Make-Up Remover from Elemis. I love everything Elemis do and this is no exception. Removing my makeup is a necessity for me, I can’t go to bed without a fresh face. This one is really gentle on the skin. I just dab a bit of it onto a cotten pad and wipe over my eyes. It even works on waterproof mascara – it’s fab!
I definitely think I’m more into skincare than I am makeup. I just love keeping my skin healthy and giving myself a pamper every now and then! What are your favourite products, do you have any recommendations for me?
